DARCY KELLER
My snowboarding career started over 20 years ago on toboggan hills in Battleford, Saskatchewan.  My brother and I shared a Black Snow that had plastic loops that you just kicked your feet into for bindings.  We shredded that thing for 2 years before upgrading to Black Snow Masters, with metal edges.  Thats when we stopped skiing and started boarding at the local ski hill every chance we had.  We had season's passes and were part of the first group of kids to be boarding at Table Mountain, I was only 9 years old.  We made friends there that I still consider to be some of my best friends.  I think it was the next season I bought the Mack Dawg video, The Hard, The Hungry And The Homeless, on vhs.  We watched that video over and over again, until the tape wore out.  That video changed my life.  That was when I knew that snowboarding was something that I wanted to do for a long time.
It's been a long time since I've seen The Hard, The Hungry And The Homeless but I still love boarding as much now as I did then.  I currently live outside of Golden, BC with my fiancee and my dog.  Every year I ride close to 80 days of waist deep interior pow with a really talented group of friends.  Last winter was the shortest season I've had since being out of school, but it was by far the deepest.  There's rumors floating around town that this year is going to be even deeper.
