TY WEED
My name's Ty Weed, and I'm a Snowboarder, and a Park Builder from Whistler B.C.  If there's snow on the ground I'm riding - snowboarding has been my passion ever since I stepped on a board. The Best part of snowboarding is you can do it alone, or with you best friends and still have the best day of your life. There are so many kinds of people and styles in snowboarding these days, whether if you are a greasy rail rider or a backcountry Guru, it doesn't matter cause you snowboard which means your part of this sick little culture that very few get to enjoy, so have fun out there no matter what! And if you see me on the hill, say hey and let's shred!

Tyler Weed I am from Pitt Meadows B.C. and The Mountains is where I call home.

How was your summer any highlights?

Pretty good, got some Tattoo work done, Started learning to Tattoo, Did some Skating and got to hang out in the sun, can’t complain.

When did snowboarding become a passion for you?

When I first stepped on one I did not enjoy myself at all, I couldn’t get up the damn rope tow, but once I got dragged to on some family ski vacations and I got better, you couldn’t get me off the thing.

Best place in the world snowboarding has taken you?

Into the deep B.C. Interior Backcountry, it’s majestic and beautiful. I hope to make a trip to somewhere like Chile or India would be sick.

Who or what gets you out of bed in the morning?

A fresh dump of powder, work, or my girlfriend Tia tells me to get up haha.

Who would you like to play you in a movie about your life and what would be the theme?

I would want Chevy Chase, and it would be a national lampoon style movie from the early 80’s and would be called “Shred Vacation” and would involve all kinds of shenanigans and bright colored one-piece ski suits.

Words of wisdom?

Go with your gut and do what you want to do, don’t let society drag you down.

Ultimate life goal?

Live without any regrets and own some land and learn to live off it.

What did you do to be the change you want to see this week?

Did not have a cigarette and haven’t for the past 9 months, continued to recycle and use reusable grocery bags. They are simple things, but they make a huge difference.

What achievement outside of snowboarding are you most proud of?

My big happy family

What is your favorite place in the world?

B.C. cause it’s the most beautiful place on earth, but would like to see Africa, seems beautiful as well.
